Like CVS, Walgreens is a pharmacy that also offers a range of photo services, including photo restoration.

Film photos are like time capsules, preserving precious memories of the past. But time can wear down old photos, especially if they aren’t stored properly. Tears, folds, water damage, and mold can all ruin a good photo!

Thankfully, it’s not that hard to find a photo restorer these days. In fact, even Walmart provides the service in certain stores. And with over 4,000 branches in the United States alone, it makes for a convenient option in a pinch. But is Walmart’s photo restoration service any good?

If you’re keen to find out the good, the bad, and the ugly, keep reading. But if you’re ready for fast and premium repair and restoration by some of the best in the business, start by heading over to our order page!

Here’s why we think you’re far better off sticking to the experts – like us!

What Is Walgreens’ Photo Restoration Service Like?

Walgreens’s photo center offers same-day photo prints, passport photos, gift cards, canvas prints, and photo book customization. Most of these can be done either in-store or online.

In most cases, you can simply upload your photos online, do some basic editing – cropping, adding filters, etc. – and send them off to be printed by your local branch. Simple prints, cards, and photo books can all be picked up in about a day.

Walgreens’ photo restoration, on the other hand, is a bit more complicated. Here’s why:

In-Store Only Service (At Limited Branches)

If you’re looking for online photo restoration, Walgreens falls short on that front – you won’t find any options for photo restorations on their website. Not all shops offer in-store restorations either, so you’ll have to call your nearest Walgreens to find out where you can bring your pictures.

Meanwhile, at Image Restoration Center, you can have your photos restored online and in three simple steps:

  • 1. Upload Your Photos To Our Server
  • 2. Wait 24-72 Hours While We Get To Work
  • 3. Receive Your Products Via Email

It’s that easy!

Outsourced Photo Restoration Service

If you do find a nearby Walgreens that restores photos, you aren’t assured of the kind of service you’ll get. This is because Walgreens outsources to an outside vendor who takes on the heavy Photoshop responsibilities.

Not only does this add a layer of uncertainty to the quality of your restorations, but it also means it can take longer to get your images. According to some Walgreens photo restoration reviews online, it can take about a week to receive the finished product.

Why Choose Image Restoration Center Instead

Here are three reasons why you should consider us instead of Walgreens:

Expert Care, Always

Walgreens is a pharmacy that focuses on health and wellness products. While photo editing is commonplace in US pharmacies, it doesn’t mean they employ experts.

Because photo restorations are our bread and butter, we’ve put together a diverse team of photographers, colorizers, and historical advisors – some of whom have over 20 years of experience in photo restorations, repair, and enhancement.

A Full Menu Of Photo Repair Services

Our job is to bring precious memories back to life through:

  • Color correction
  • Stain, tear, and scratch removal
  • Detail restoration
  • Mold and water damage repair
  • Background enhancement and replacement
  • Resizing.

We can also turn a monochrome and sepia image into a color photo! All of this starting at only $35 per photo – with unlimited revisions to boot.

A Quick And Easy Process

We get the job done in 1, 2, 3! Here’s how:

Step 1: Upload Your Photos

There’s no need to head out of your home, especially during the pandemic! Just scan your old photographs or take a snap with your phone, then upload them to our private server. From there, we’ll do all the work for you.

Step 2: Wait 24-72 Hours

With your copies in our hands, all you have to do is sit back and wait for the results.

At this point, our experts will do the careful work of analyzing each image and consulting with our historical advisors. We do this to make sure we deliver a product that isn’t just beautiful but historically accurate as well! Afterward, we meticulously repair and restore each image to its original glory.

You can expect your finished photos in less than three days! We also offer 24-hour express delivery for urgent cases.

Step 3: Receive Your Restorations

Once we’re done, we send your restored copies straight to your email for review. If you’d like anything changed, we offer unlimited revisions! This is to make sure we deliver on our 100-percent satisfaction guarantee.

Old photographs are windows to the past – major milestones, childhood places, and loved ones long gone. Don’t let these important family photos fade away!

As the foremost imaging experts, we won’t just keep your old family photos intact for years to come – we’ll help breathe new life into them. Just ask any of the over 5,000 happy customers we’ve served! And with our quick and easy process, you’ll have your expertly restored image at your door (or on your computer) in no time.

The picture is in faded black and white with some scratches and even a few spots where the picture appears to be missing the picture’s surface. I would really like to have it restored because it is the only image of his babyhood. We ultimately would like to put it in a picture frame, if successfully restored.
